Tonhalle Düsseldorf: where music meets the starry skies

The result is a state-of-the-art online platform seamlessly integrating external systems to provide visitors with a consistent and delightful buyer journey. With powerful search capabilities, automatic image resizing, and face detection, the website offers an immersive experience that complements the magic of Tonhalle's live performances.

Project brief

Tonhalle is the musical home of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra consists of 130 musicians. Tonhalle hosts more than 450 concerts with over 300,000 spectators per year. Their website has a very sophisticated technical setup.

The project was developed using a headless version of Drupal 9 with Next.js and React.js for the client side. All frontend components are defined in Storybook, and Tailwind is used to implement the designs pixel-perfectly. ElasticSearch is extensively used, and the entire project is hosted on AWS using a variety of Amazon services.
